Money counting machine software and currency updates
Money counting machines identify banknotes using the definition files held in their memory. When a central bank issues a new series, or the currencies your business handles change, those definitions have to be updated. Without the update the device rejects the new banknote, raises a counterfeit warning, or refuses to count it at all. Elektro Değişim carries out software version and currency updates on GLORY, Hitachi and ProNote money counting machines.

Situations that require an update
A new banknote or a new series
When a central bank issues a new series the machine does not recognise it. Once the definition files are updated, the new banknote is counted like any other.
Banknotes not recognised, false counterfeit alerts
If the device rejects a genuine banknote the cause is not always mechanical. In most cases the software version is simply out of date and an update resolves it.
Adding a new currency
If the currencies you handle have changed, we can extend the set of currencies your machine supports — provided the model allows it.
Updating the device firmware
New versions released by the manufacturer improve recognition accuracy and operating stability. On machines that have not been updated for years the difference is clearly visible.
Brands we update
GLORY
The main brand we sell and service. We carry out software and currency updates across a wide range of models, the GFS and USF series in particular.
Hitachi
We handle software version updates, new banknote definitions and currency definitions on Hitachi money counting machines.
ProNote
We support software updates and new banknote series definitions on ProNote devices.
If your brand is not on the list, call us anyway. Once we know the model number we can tell you whether an update is possible.
Service steps
-
Brand and model details
Send us the brand, the model number and the current software version. The model label is usually on the back or the underside of the machine.
-
Feasibility check
Not every model updates the same way, and for some older models the manufacturer no longer releases new versions. Once we know the model number we give you a clear answer.
-
The update
The software version and currency definition files are loaded. Within Istanbul this can be done on site; machines shipped from other cities are handled at our workshop.
-
Testing
After the update the device is tested with both new and older banknotes; it is not handed back before recognition and counting accuracy are verified.
Questions about software updates
A new banknote has been issued and my machine does not recognise it. What should I do?
This is almost always an update, not a fault. Send us the brand and model number; if an update has been released for that model, we can make it recognise the new banknote.
Is an update possible on every model?
No. An update depends on the manufacturer having released a new version for that model. For some very old machines support for a new series never appears. Once we know the model number we tell you plainly — we do not present an impossible job as a possible one.
Which brands do you update?
We carry out software and currency updates on GLORY, Hitachi and ProNote money counting machines. If you have a different brand, call and tell us the model and we will look into it.
How long does an update take?
On most models the work itself is quick. What really determines the timing is how the machine reaches us: within Istanbul it can be done on site, from other cities shipping time is added.
Will the update erase my settings?
An update renews the device's definition and software files. We note the existing settings before starting, and test the machine before handover so you can check counting and recognition behaviour with us.
Send us the brand and model of your machine
Tell us the brand, model and the problem you are having; we will say plainly whether we can do it.
